73% of French B2B companies are invisible in ChatGPT
Our Q2 2026 pilot scan tested 200+ French B2B cybersecurity companies across 20 standardised prompts on ChatGPT (GPT-4o), Perplexity, Gemini and Claude. The result: 73% of companies in the sample scored below 35 on the AI Visibility Score — meaning they were absent from LLM responses on the vast majority of tested queries.
This is not a fringe finding. It reflects a structural invisibility problem: most B2B companies have not yet adapted their content and digital presence to the signals that LLMs use to select and cite sources.
The 27% of companies that do appear are not necessarily the largest or best-funded. The data shows that content structure, FAQPage schema, topical depth, and third-party citation corroboration are stronger predictors of AI visibility than brand size or marketing budget.
Implication: for French B2B companies, AI visibility is currently a blue ocean. The bar to appear in LLM responses is low — because most competitors are not competing for it yet.
